Darque Productions kicks off 2010 with two shows.

Happy New Year and happy new decade.  We're kicking off the new year right away with the announcement of two shows.

March 11th we welcome back to Detroit, Obscenity Trial.  If you missed them last time around be sure not to miss them this time. The band delivers some of the best synthpop in the genre akin to De/Vision, Melotron, Mesh, NamNambulu, etc...  Openers are local act D:Konstrukt, soon to have another CD of new songs completed.

In May, Darque Productions is excited to welcome back Assemblage 23.  By now A23 should be no strangers to anyone providing the scene with some of the biggest hits and performing several times in Detroit.  This latest round of shows is in support of the 6th studio album "Compass" -one of last years best releases period.  Openers are Australian (yes Australian!) synth act Angel Theory - a band who will deliver strong danceflor grooves combined with meticulous and precise electronic sounds and foreboding elements.

Both shows are at Small's in Hamtramck and more info on each can be found by clicking the upcoming events tab in that navigation above.

Hope to see you in 2010!

What a Week for Industrial in Detroit!

Thanks to all who came out to either (or both) Darque Productions events last week. Thursday was Project Pitchfork, and as expected Pitchfork turned in an absolutely amazing performance drawing from a deep catalog of music. Excellent to hear "God Wrote", "Souls", "KNKA" and "En Garde" amongst so many others. Even the popular "Timekiller" and "Steelrose" sounded great. Well thought out set list that included newer material, well-known tracks and the hits equaly spread throughout. Peter, Dirk and Jurgen are all nice guys as well.  A very fun evening. Hope you all enjoyed yourselves.  Then Sunday night was Imperative Reaction, Psyclon Nine , Inure and Columbine.  One of the biggest crowds we've seen packed into Smalls for a Darque Productions event.  Apologies for things running a bit behind schedule, but once things got going it was a non-stop thrill ride.  Columbine got the chaos going right away with their blend of dark hellish electronic.  Inure offered up a nice set of songs (including a NIN cover) in a more electronic rock fashion.  No strangers to Detroit crowds by now, Imperative Reaction served up another impressive set with their signature sound. Finally Psyclon Nine redefined evil, with it's fierce brand of black metal. We hope you all enjoyed whichever shows you attended.

Darque Productions welcomes Project Pitchfork to Smalls, September 3, 2009.

Persistence pays off!!!  After several years and failed attempts of trying to get one of Germanys largest acts to Detroit for a show, Darque Productions is VERY happy to welcome scene giants Project Pitchfork to Detroit.  Mark your calendars for September 3, as this is going to be one phenomenal show.  You've been dancing to their tracks like "Timekiller", "Steelrose", "I Live Your Dream", "Carrion" and others for years, now it's time to see them live.

Darque Productions welcomes the :Ruina: tour with Psyclon Nine and Imperative Reaction to Smalls, September 6, 2009.

What a show this is going to be.  Two of the industrial scenes biggest acts and long-time Detroit favorites on a co-headlining tour together!!!  Darque Productions is pleased to welcome Psyclon Nine and Imperative Reaction to Small's on Sunday, September 6, 2009. Also on the bill, Los Angeles Inure, who should gain a whole new Detroit fanbase with their live show and addictive sound. UPDATE: Local Detroit favorites Columbine have also been added to the bill!!!  Tickets on sale soon and Darque Productions expects this one to have a large turnout so get your tickets early!

Thanks to all who attended the Babyland show.

Thanks to all those who came out in support of the Babayland show July 7. Special thanks to function13 for opening the show.  It had been 13 long years since Babyland had last been to Detroit (playing at the Old Miami) and they absolutely loved playing at Small's and the crowd reaction from Detroit. Certainly one of the most energized shows in a long time. Photos from the evening can be viewed at the following Flickr page
